Proběhl třetí a závěrečný den hudebního festivalu Woodstock na farmě Maxe Yasgura v Bethelu ve státě New York. Vystoupili mimo jiné Joe Cocker, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Blood, Sweat & Tears, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Ten Years After, John Sebastian, Sha Na Na, Country Joe and the Fish, The Band, Johnny Winter a Paul Butterfield Blues Band. Po prolomení plotů a zábran organizátoři oznámili, že koncert bude zdarma.
