Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band began The River Tour on October 3,
1980, at Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in support of their fifth studio album and their only double album, The River. During the concert, Springsteen forgot part of the lyrics while performing “Born to Run” for the opening time.
