Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees underwent surgery on his digestive tract for the same health problem that had claimed the life of his twin brother Maurice seven years earlier. Robin had been hospitalized with severe abdominal pain several days earlier, and his health problems repeatedly returned in the following months. He died in a London hospital in 2012.
