American blues singer Mable John died at the age of 91. She was the first female singer signed by Berry Gordy to Motown's Tamla label. In 1960 she released her first single, “Who Wouldn't Love a Man Like That?”. After leaving Motown she spent several years as a Raelette, backing Ray Charles.
