At the first Isle of Wight Festival, held from August 31 to September 1 over two days at Hells Field near Godshill, The Move, The Pretty Things, The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown, Orange Bicycle, Jefferson Airplane, Fairport Convention and Tyrannosaurus Rex performed. Tickets cost 25 shillings.
