Description

Grateful Dead, with supporting acts The Marshall Tucker Band and New Riders Of The Purple Sage, played a headline concert at Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey. The concert lasted 11 hours and, with an attendance of 107,019, set a US record for attendance at a paid concert outside festivals, which stood until 2024, when it was surpassed by George Strait.
