Songwriter and producer Roquel “Billy” Davis, also known as Tyran Carlo, died in 2004 at the age of 72; sources place his death in both New York and Detroit, Michigan. He co-wrote Jackie Wilson songs including “Reet Petite” and “Lonely Teardrops” and the advertising jingle “I’d Like To Buy The World A Coke”.
