Keith Richards z The Rolling Stones řekl deníku The New York Daily News, že rapová hudba je pro „lidi bez sluchu“ a kritizoval její hudební konstrukci. Uvedl, že posluchačům rapu podle něj stačí rytmus bicích a někdo, kdo přes něj křičí. Ve stejném rozhovoru se vyjádřil také o Metallicě a Black Sabbath.
