English singer Douglas Trendle, known as Buster Bloodvessel, was born in London. He became famous as the frontman of Bad Manners, who had the 1981 UK hit "Can Can", which reached No. 3. He took his stage name from a bus conductor played by Ivor Cutler in The Beatles' 1967 film "Magical Mystery Tour".
