Description
A report found that two-thirds of young people who regularly use MP3 players faced a risk of premature hearing damage. The Royal National Institute for Deaf People said the results were alarming: 72 of 110 MP3 users tested in Britain listened at volumes above 85 decibels. Some players reached 105 decibels at maximum volume, while a takeoff aircraft produces approximately 110 decibels.
