Description

Weezer released their breakthrough single “Buddy Holly”, named after the rock'n'roll icon. The song appeared on the band's debut album “Weezer”, also known as “The Blue Album”, and reached No. 6 in Canada and No. 12 in the UK. It was released on the day Buddy Holly would have celebrated his 58th birthday.

    Weezer released “Island in the Sun”, the second single from the album “Weezer”, also known as “The Green Album”. It was a very laid-back song for the band, markedly different from their first single, “Hash Pipe”. The song became the most frequently licensed track in the band’s catalog and appeared, for example, in the TV series The Simpsons and The Sopranos and in the film Trolls Band Together.
