Karl Wiosna of Graig near Pontypridd, Wales, had his stereo equipment and music collection confiscated and destroyed after violating a noise-abatement order. Authorities acted following a neighbor's complaints about loud records by Cher and U2. Two tape and record players, a radio and CDs were seized, and Wiosna was fined £265.
