Gail Zappa, widow of Frank Zappa and longtime head of the Zappa Family Trust, died on October 7, 2015, at her home in Los Angeles at the age of 70. After Frank's death in 1993, she oversaw the release of dozens of posthumous albums and protected his musical legacy and rights to his work.
