Description

The Rolling Stones played the opening night of the Desert Trip festival at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters, and The Who also took part in the festival. The six-day event, split across two weekends, grossed $160 million and became the highest-grossing music festival at the time.
