Bruce Springsteen testified at London's High Court in a dispute with Masquerade Music over its attempt to release some of his early-1970s recordings in the UK. He said that when the songs were created, he was living from paycheck to paycheck and relying on financial assistance from his then co-manager Mike Appel.
