Description
John Lennon's killer, Mark David Chapman, was denied parole for a second time on October 9, the date Lennon would have turned 62. After 22 years in prison, the parole board said releasing Chapman would deprecate the seriousness of the crime. Although his prison conduct was considered acceptable, the board did not consider this sufficient to guarantee that he would not pose a threat to society.
