Description

Madonna's "True Blue," the title track of her album of the same name, reached No. 1 on the UK singles chart. It was her third UK chart-topper. The title came from a favourite expression of her then-husband, Sean Penn, and the song was dedicated to him. Madonna also topped the UK chart that year with "Papa Don't Preach."
