    American songwriter, arranger and vocal producer LeShawn Daniels died in a car accident at the age of 41. He became known for working with Michael Jackson, Destiny’s Child, Lady Gaga, Whitney Houston and Jennifer Lopez, among others.

    The documentary series The Beatles: Get Back won five Emmy Awards at a ceremony in Los Angeles. Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, director Peter Jackson and producers Yoko Ono, Olivia Harrison, Clare Olssen and Jonathan Clyde received the award for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series. Peter Jackson also won for directing, while the production was recognized for picture editing, sound editing and sound mixing.

    A Houses Of The Holy album cover signed by all four members of Led Zeppelin was sold at auction for £15,000, even though it did not include the actual record. The item was exceptionally rare because of drummer John Bonham’s death in 1980 and the subsequent breakup of the group.

    Spotify won a legal dispute brought by publisher Eight Mile Style over Eminem’s songs. The publisher claimed Spotify had used the rapper’s music without a proper license since 2019 and sought £30 million. The court found that Spotify did not have a proper license to stream the songs, but did not order the company to pay the claimed lost licensing revenue.
