N.W.A., including Dr. Dre and Eazy-E, released the album “Straight Outta Compton”, which became a gangsta rap classic and attracted major attention, notably for the track “F--k Tha Police”.
Detroit police stopped N.W.A's performance before the group could play “F--k tha Police” and escorted the members back to their hotel. No charges were filed against them.
